After much consideration - and requests - a new group chat environment is in the works for Priceless Partner.
Old-time members will recall the old chatrooms in the early days of Priceless. Unfortunately, I had to close the system due to the amount of moderation involved by myself.
In order to gauge the viability of the new group chat, I need to get an idea of whether there would be enough volunteer moderators to assume the responsibilty of ensuring a safe and enjoyable user experience for all members.
A chat moderators role would be similiar to that of a forum moderator, although obviously working within a less formal environment - a casual chatting area. However, there will be similiar conduct standards as that outlined in our
forum guidelines, specifically in regards to how users treat other users, and of course no spamming or soliciting. A moderator would be expected to enforce the guidelines whilst they are in the chatroom. There will be no set time or duration that a moderator must be present, but obviously someone who is able to be present on a regular basis would be suited to the role.
