I read a story a few months ago in one of my women's magazines.

This couple met on the site and got married, all their friends came to the virtual wedding. They did at last meet in real life and fell in love and married for real.

Apparently you make a virtual character yr self you can be anything you want and then chose a name. have just looked on the net this is the website.

Mme Scorps I have not even finished my first life. Well all games have three lives to say the least. I am going strong and scored 3000000000000000000000000000540 and am on the brink. But cats have nine lives as they say. I playing the greatest reality show called " Life and how its to be lived". Second life or ninth life- who cares. Hope U are seeing it as i do. With regards

I agree with all said here.. looked at website of that weird game etc..

I decided not to join, I can hardly manage this life.. Much less another one, lmao...

Yes I saw the documentary, sad, marriage was broken because wife was on PC 24/7 and she actually fell in love with her Avatar on that site.. She even traveled to UK to meet her avatar in person..

Needless to say.. It did not work out.. Strange what us humans do sometimes...

To Moi, that site is actually nothing but a glorified Chat Room in 3D..

I hear ya Scorpiowoman - I can hardly manage my own life without having to take care of a second life! But I can see this sort of thing getting bigger and bigger as technology gets more and more powerful.
