When talking to men I meet for the first time on Personals, I find they often ask extremely personal questions about my sexual and dating past, like how many sexual partners I've had and what I like.

I find these questions intrusive and downright rude...

What do you all think, and have you had similar experiences etc...

Hi there Scorpiowoman!

Unfortunately I do have the same experience in the past. Some men can be self-involved and they don’t care if what they are asking is way too offensive and this information is none of their business especially on the first e mail.
I would usually ignore these men or “boys”. There is actually no problem in sharing too personal information but maybe on the later part of the relationship (if ever it will come to that point). But on initial encounter? It’s a sure no no. I find them impertinent that is not worth my time.

I have to agree with sophisticated on this matter. It is in the past and should remain in the past, general questions are fine that is how you get to know a person but sexual questions are not on. I think they ask these questions as a way of getting themselves aroused and hoping that we will indulge them in a fantasy of sorts, I don't play the games and as soon as a question like that is posed I simply block and don't answer them again.

Scorpio you are so right, your past either sexual or dating is YOUR business and nobody elses......as is your preferences...that should come along once a relationship has been established, not at the beginning....

My pet hate is when in 1on1 within seconds they ask "do you have Cam"
I usually answer 'YES, but not for you' then block them....

I frequently wonder wether this is a dating site or a sex site...!!!

One thing I have found though is, the majority of Indian Gentlemen who contact me are so respectful.......
I use the motto "treat as you wish to be treated" and it usually works for me....
