I did feel this thread was worth continuing as a service to all those decent men who are genuinely seeking a partner and have been led to believe that the Russian Bride industry was going to meed their desire for love, relationship etc.

There is a need for awareness raising in the matters of 'importing brides' from poverty-stricken areas into Australia.

Yes, I do know of a number of very happy long-term loving marriage relationships with some, not all, overseas brides, but have yet to hear of any 'Russian brides' that have been successful.

Instead, there have been numerous tales of woe that have made the news and television stories. Due to the sense of shame, disgrace and other trauma of broken marriages, usually just after 3 years (critical time period legally especially in property settlement matters.

The men have been left devastated, emotionally, financially, socially etc etc. Many are so traumatised they could not make it worse by going public.


So thank you Chief for moving this thread and not deleting it totally.
