Real India as it breathes and lives every day is not what it is perceived.Real India as it lives and breathes apart from the internet is much more polite, civil and courteous. Any query about it as i see it living everyday is welcome. - with regards

Yes, I agree as I have Indian Friends , but, why has the Internet and having the use of the PC given so much courage to Some (and I mean some Not all ok), to be so Bold with denads and request especially from Married and atached members..

Just a thought, not a criticisam ok...

I sometimes have to chucklle, when I read ceratin profiles with demands, wants, offers, you name it...

I think the sadest part is from all these souls asking wanting Friends to Share Their Life their Daily ups and Downs as some of their profiles say etc..

I might be ignorant of Indian culture and ways.. But, I thought that is why we have wife, spose etc...

Well I would put this way. Lot many people across the world despite being married visit a pub to share the ups and downs of the day over a beer or something like that with their friends or mates. Personally speaking being divorced and single it is difficult to cope up with all the pent up stress of workplace and would love to share it with a friend. Friends now a days are very scarce to find. Acquaintances yes but no friends.

I agree, but I am sad to see ALL Married souls seeking a Confidante, to share thoughts, dreams etc as stated in some profiles..

It is also sad to see a profile of a marrioed soul with kids and It says LONLEY.. I just do not understand that..

How can anyone be lonley if their have wife and kids living with them...

I guess I am just another westerner who does not undersatnd...

Mme its not about another westerner or someone who does'nt understand. Individuals, families, values are same everywhere. only modes of articulation are different. As I posted elsewhere the predominant form of male and female interaction in India is either a study place where it is in the incipient form, or work place where first experience of economic freedom tries to defy the inhibitions of closed sexuality with mostly sorry results. Then comes the time tested arranged marriage where your family lists up your prospective life partners and you have a chance of interaction with your prospective spouse for the first time under the glare of family members for say what half an hour. Then until and unless the match is not confirmed no more interactions. From that half an hour interaction you have to make a choice. Then you are permitted a few outings and then marriage. The only choice left thereafter is to accept what you have with stoicism and resignation and keep the marriage intact. Down the lane you feel you are not happy and dont know what to do. Then comes your being lonely profile part. Seriously speaking none of the persona of the profiles ever harbour expectations that some lady from Australia, U.K or far off land would ever come jumping all the way to India to take the hand of the lonely heart. These lonely hearts are tempted to spew their venomous frustration on them for not being there in life ( as if that would have made any difference even if they were present and available). All shortcomings in personal lives are sought to be surreptitiously satiated elsewhere even if it comes to abuse. (Oh what the hell my ego is satisfied and some one had been hurt the way i am hurt in my life) This is only my point of view as to how things are- with regards

Moderation lost. Where did the post called country blocking first appear. Is it not in chit chat or Country thread of Australia. If in chit chat everyone can rejoice about blocking the big bad "I " country what if some one posts a thread about it in the same forum. Are forums pigeon-holes? illumination to me. moderation is not bowing down to chauvinism. Personally I don't like real spice nation being reduced to Indian spice. Bad taste and bad liberalism. WR
