Saw this interesting Doco about India the other day..

Power to be reckoned witth that will one day surpass Japan and Western Europe...

But, the Poverty is just apalling, the way some are forced to live is Inmhumane...

Saw some souls cleaning toilets for a living, as no one else will do it and it goes from one generation to another, never ending circle of misery for some...

Slums in capital cities Six living in One Room... One familly of six was living in their one room for 15 years.. sad, shocking, disturbing...

Why can,t they fix that problem and worry about ecconomy later, I think Human Needs should come before Money...

As one woman who is a slum dweler said.. Only good for the rich not the poor...

This kind of unequality was also seen in Eastern Europe the poor constantly strugling living like feral beasts, while some are enjoying the wealth, decent life should be for ALL Humanity not just a privilaged few...

A Cree Indian saying...

Only when the last tree is dead,
the last fish is caught
and the last river is poisoned,
will they find they can't eat money.

Cheers from Scorpio and cats...

cant respond in one post maam. gimme a breather. For starters. India is like a child lookin for attention. its naughty, ugly and incompetent and fails in every class. But when dad comes home it wants his undivided attention. it doesnt want to change but only seeks dads praise.

Hey Scorps we might not see it in our lifetime but middle class in civilized countries will not exits anymore already the gap is narrowing in North America there is more millionaires and more poor people but less and less of the middle class. The rich exploit the poor and are right now thinking more about their wealth then about the future. Right now here in Canada the middle class that use to have about a load of 45% of the tax burden for a 70% population that were in the middle class while rich paid 20% for a 10% population and industries paid 35% tax burden in the 1950's now in 2008 the middle class is only 45% population that supports 70% of the tax burden while rich who are in the 20% only 10% of the tax load while companies pay only 20% of the tax burden.

We all know why that is politician who make laws are only there because of the money of the rich so who do you think the laws will favor in the long run.

If you look at all the industries that have moved to India China and all those low wage and not reglemented countries, they are still counting on the population of the countries they deserted to buy their products not on the population of where they have moved to.

On the business side of it it makes sen se why stay in America and pay a worker $30 an hour when they can pay somewhere else the same worker $10 a day (and I'm generous on that estimate) The only thing I have to ask those companies is where are the savings on your products as anyone seen the prices of cars drop down in the last 20 years no they keep on going up.

Here in Canada banks in the last 10 years have been making recordr progfits of billions a year but they somehow have been able to lay of over hundreds of thousands employes in that time. Strange i was brought up to think that when a company lays off people is because they are loosing money or in danger of having to close I guess that equations doesn't apply anymore in this world of ever greedy shareholders.

Where is the justice well I would say the only justice in this world is for the one that as the money in his pocket for the rest of us well to bad.

But, you have just answered all so nicely in this short piece.. I was just amazed at the diference between the have and have nots in India..

I mean there was this child of 11 ..all she wanted was to go to school, but her father was arranging marriage for her.. Unreal and sad...
