Yes it's amazing what Mother nature displays sometimes.
I remember the day they televised world wide, companies would become multi million dollar businesses, simply through bottling the finest 'crystal clear water' in the world and selling it.
Many scoffed at the idea, as most humans questioned why people would want to buy bottled water, when it was so readily available at the turn of a tap, in our own homes!
Now look at the varying types that have hit the markets and watching how many people purchase in one day is absolutely mind blowing!
Meanwhile it continues to rain in good ol' Auckland and I am starting to cease up! Thinking seriously about those warmer climates abroad!!!
You are so right about the water...lol. In Whakatane there has been a problem with the water supply. its like drinking salt water. The supermarkets pretty much sold out of bottled water until the council supplied tankers for people to collect water. Now the rain is here, and getting heavier by the minute. Can't win aye!!! We were heading into a drought and now everyones worrying about flooding. My daughter lives in Auckland and said its been pretty wet...lol. Hope it improves for you.
Just got back frm my first ever visit to New Zealand.
I spent most of the week in meetings in Wellington.
Ok, the weather was not perfect, but winter is coming and it was better than I had been told to expect. Nice feel to the place. Nice people. I'll got back to have a look at the rest of the country.
I can't say I envy you being in windy Wellington, much less being stuck in meetings most of your stay.
Glad you enjoyed your time and thinking about venturing back some time, to discover the rest of what New Zealand has to offer!
Good Lord! Someone pass me another log for the fire, brandy for the c o c k l e s, woollens for the extremities, puff up the pillows and duvet..........oh and can you please blow out the candles on your way out???
Hi Katz.....yep winter is here well and truly, although today we had a beautiful sunny day, nice for the weekend...lol. Hope your managing to brave winter, it will all be over soon enough
