... that moron who told us "life is not meant to be easy" had a lackey to lug his fat wallet around and a lawyer to hold onto it for sure!
The poor Arabs and Asians are happy to be slaves and work for peanuts, and middle class Australia is dead and buried. Its all so easy!

Now after being in these forums and many others too, I think I know what has gone wrong.

So I am going to do something about it, nothing drastic, but starting today and starting here, I am fighting back
Cheers
Rod

And the Clown says ( as usual or is it a bit unusual)

Hmmmm. Had been on the road with my travelling circus and couldnt read whats said here. Just read the compliments that are too obvious not to be misunderstood.

Young university educated Jacks and Jills and ...a lawyer to hold onto it for sure! Ha Ha.

I suppose it is moral right of every one these days to anoint themselves as nice persons and choose nice people. Or may be everyone is a John Doe. Well that was really a tear jerker. May be tear jerkers are nice persons. And it is too strange for me to comprehend how every one thinks that only he or she is fighting for morality, values and all nice things under the sun shine and the rest of the world is Mafia. Just a thought

I dont know whether I am a nice person and this is a nice post of mine. Thought the Obvious compliments were too NICE to ignore.

Nice to see you posting again J
I think the reference to the quote "life wasnt meant to be easy" is attributed to Malcom Fraser who was Prime minister of Australia at the time of saying it... Rod please correct me if I am wrong

the way I see things is

black is black
white is white

but between the 2 there is a hell of alot of shades of grey!

Thanx Aj. Well U know me. I am a lawyer and like a silent Black and white film of the past. For me every thing is Black and white since I wake up in the morning. The dress I wear - white shirt and trousers with a black gown on top of it- The things i write which is called drafting is black marks called words on a white face of a paper and the alabaster lady before whom i speak is a white statuette with scales with a black blind fold around her eyes. And the verbal and mental chess I play with my opponent has black and white squares. Only at the end of the day, when i come back home and have some stiff shots of whisky, the world appears grey. Its called Wisdom. Beyond black and white or a merger of both. Perhaps thats the reason they call it grey mater.( Though i have grey hair myself)

I dont know whether they have it in wikipedia or not, long time back ( though i was only born in 68 when rebellions for freedom were crushed and though i never fought Nam ) i learnt- being a university educated Jack- some thing called Hermeneutics. Yes the art of interpretation and understanding meanings. Hermes the messenger of old gods carried messages between men and gods. and they were distorted in their meanings in transit. So gods and men evolved rules of interpretation of words. Hermeneutics.

Contextuality to put it in simplicity. The particular makes sense in the context. The whole is to be understood in its parts and the parts from their whole. Whether words or life.( well sorry for sounding like Hannibal Lecter. May be I missed Malcom Frazer in the context for I am a poor Asian though not an Arab.

Well after being educated in an esoteric subject Called Philosophy, i got tired of absolute concepts like Justice and morality. Came back to the grass roots and common people instead of sitting at a university and carrying on the bull dust. I live and experience these concepts every day. Whether its drinking water for a poor villager, not to be arbitrarily arrested in the middle of night and inculpated in an offence not committed or a right to have property and protection for it. And at the end of the day I am not John Doe. But a bloody Drunk who is divorced and alone and havta feed his pets and wake up in the mid night to prepare for the next morning. I wish I were Jim Carrey.

And yes Life is never meant to be easy for common folk. Believe me for I am a rare lawyer who is bloody broke.

With regards- Clown

Ps. Well I am not picking a fight and am saying what i feel- right or wrong- in the grey hues of a evening dusk on a monsoon day.

hmmmm J I wasn't ticking you off about the quote, just trying to put it in to context it was a political quote in the early 80's and I think if i remember rightly was something to do with interest rates which at the time were exorbitant, but I am not 100% certain on that.

and with your version of black is black etc... gee you have a away of describing something with a lot of words!

Hi AJ. Sorry to employ a cliche again. Well you know me and nothing between friends. The point i was trying to make is Why we all are prisoners of stereo types. Is it our inability to think beyond them. Or may be Its just too convenient too relegate what we dont know to pigeon holes of our choice and attach labels and pretend we dont care about them in our chosen niceties.

Plumbers, Tradesmen, soldiers, doctors, farmers, businessmen etc - who can be called common people- and mean lawyers like me- who are abberations. Well we all do our jobs every day and try to keep the world a better place every day. We all know its beyond our power and Bin Laden calls the shots these days while politics float bull dust all around us. Yet we travel to work undaunted by the terror and fears and do it sincerely and being proud that what we earned is what we deserved. but why do we do it. Money. Well many people say that. That can be earned any which way you want. But may be something lies in all of us common folk. To be of help to a fellow commoner.( And some times it is what politicos exploit for their selfish ends)

And at the end of the day if some body asks you " are you important in the system" you would be tempted to reply before ignoring the query to silence" Yes sir. Without me you wouldnt be able to stand up here and ask me this stupid question"

Well somebody said " in your 20's if u are not a communist with hunger and empathy for the sufferings of others theres something wrong. And In 40's if you are not a pragmatist with solutions for hunger and sufferings of others theres something wrong" And this is over 40's forum i suppose.

And i feel and may be i am not alone. At this age i would be proud to say " I have prejudice to none and empathy to all- PP forums excluded- And I am doing my god damn best to keep the world as it is while searching for a mate whom i miss to share myself in the middle of night when i am puzzled with the ways of the world. So be prepared to tolerate me PP for some more time. Or Am I a PPPP- Permanent profile at PP

Tons of Words on a boring weekend AJ having topped Word Twist.

Oh what the hell. I owe an apology to Rod i suppose. Though worried who that lackey and lawyer are
Any way I am off to road to save another soul who doesnt figure on videos.( In my black robes i fancy myself as a silent crime fighter from Gotham City despite having no signal of my own and being no Green Beret or a Delta force man or a special ops man) so wish me luck all. With prejudice to none and wishing happiness and joy to all.
