I guess I think I would do it all the same again, so it would not be worth it, and anyway, I believe only old souls that have much more wisdom than I go on to better things (heaven?)
I used to read my wife's books sometimes. She was into spirituality rather than religion.
I was rather struck by the books that talked re-incarnation, and these books talked about old souls and I definitely knew an old soul. My Grandmother, my beautiful Nanny Gertie. I knew her all my life and I last saw her in hospital where she died after a horrendous motor accident aged almost 90. She was an old soul, and I know she has gone on.
Now I know I am a brand new soul, and my purgatory is going to be a very long time! I expect that I will come back here again and then I will have the chance to do it right.
We humans are just so damn proud, and up ourselves! Why do we think we are worth more than the dust we are made from? I have no idea, but we all ask "Is that all their is?" and we seem to find few answers above the fact that we have free will, and appear to be able to run our lives as we want. And that makes us feel different?
The other thing that I read was that when we return we are given a goal to fulfill. I like that idea too. Another was that we stay in our family groups.
But then I ask if their were a million people on Earth 4000 years ago, and perhaps if we do not destroy ourselves in the meantime, we are going to to have 20 billions in the near future, then why are so many new souls arriving here, and what is the real purpose?
Another night I saw a movie that suggests we have come very close to wiping ourselves out many times through the centuries.
Nowadays in laboratories and war rooms in every Country it may be a daily occurrence. And so it is more likely to happen than not? Perhaps in this super sized Universe we live, just maybe we move to a younger less advanced earth and try once again?
Ever thought what an ant with a human type soul would think, If you bent down and looked at him through a magnifying glass, as he looked up at you?
Scientists tell us that mites too small for the ant to see, live on the ant!!
When you see a microscopic picture of the human blood, or other parts of our body, do they remind you of little worlds and constellations, all spinning around themselves atoms, neutrons photons. With white cells racing all over the place etc etc.
Imagine if you will that our Universe is just one of millions of other universes. Then wonder if that is all just part of one other body, which lives its life through with millions of other bodies, totally unaware of us, just as we are of them?
Ha Ha!
Hope you can sleep tonight
Cheers
Rod
Remember its good that we can think about these things, however probably the most useless thing we can ever do is worry about it all, that will just make you crazy, because it really does not make one spot of difference for our presence, here and now
