It's all relative to the moment todays soulmate might be tomorrow ex jerk or ***** the same as in the love of our life how many of us have thought we had it found and lock only to find in due time that we were wrong.

For me a soulmate is your love, your best friends, your confident, the first one you think of at any given moment when you need something, the one that doesn't need words to understand you, to know your mood, that you trust to speak in your name and the one you would put your life in her/his hands without fear.

This thread has really got me delving more into what a soulmate is. I believe everyone is complete in themselves, and soulmates help us to enhance our learning. And they do come in many different forms. Whether it be friends or relationships. We can learn a lot from each other and I also know there are lots of people who will come into our lives that we learn from. They may stay for a while or they may not. It's the experience of having met them that counts. Hopefully we can realise this and take on board the lessons they teach us and that they are able to take something from the experience as well.

I agree with you Julz41, sometimes we meet someone, for a moment in time, or for a week, two weeks, or a year, you share something from that person, and they share something from you, you know you will never see them again, but the meeting was meant to be!! a lesson learn.. a learn to be told... and then we move on... and soulmates, find each other, its by chance, that you meet, or fate...something unfinished in a past life, or something not finished..
but you know, when you meet them, and so they... it might be in a relationship, friendship.. there is never just one, but some are more intense...

Yes you are so right. Soulmates come in many shapes and forms. Perhaps the more intense meetings of the souls is when we are ready for more in depth learning. I'm just pondering on this thought at the mo!

SOUL MATE...is there such a thing? or is it just a figment of our imagination.

Over the years, for people who believed that there is such a thing, it is something that they look forward to in the future and they are convinced that it is worth the wait.

However, I don't think there are soul mates so much as kindred spirits. These are people that you come across with, not only that your relationship with them clicks but you get involved with them in a profound way. What is important is meeting one of them at the right time in your life.
