There is a very Interesting, (to me anyway) issue involving religious interpretation of the bible and God's law vs the law of the land. To read the whole article, See:
http://au.lifestyle.yahoo.com/b/mari...e-big-picture/

A nine-year old girl's mother and doctors have made the decision to terminate the child's pregnancy to save her life. As a result, they have been 'excommunicated' from their church.

The rapist, who is also a pedophile, had abused his position of trust, yet has not been reproached in any way, or so it seeems to me, by that church.

Has he not broken God's Law'?

Interpretation of 'The Law' by self appointed human judges can only be subjective and reflective of their own attitudes, I think. I have to wonder if they have even read the book they claim they are interpreting.

What do others think of such Religious notions and judgements?

Exellent and true post Kamilla..

There are all Kinds of loons in this world, and as we know now most will and do commit the vileast act in the Name Of God etc..

These idiots have the Bible and Church and God to hide behind..

I could say more but I think you have said it already.. If anyone is interestd in Church, and Religion.. I recomend that now Infamous film by Ken Rusell...THE DEVILS..

See Oilver Reed in action as Father Grundier, it is based on fact that happened in France in 1634.. Enjoy..
