I think anyone dating a single mum or dad needs to remember that they come as a package - kids will always feel threatened by a prospective new partner and we need to remember they are kids dealing with adult situations. The key to any relationship is communication - find out what is making them behave as they do - offering lots of love and reassurance from both adults may make the transition easier for them. I realize all of this is easier said than done, but then again anything worthwhile is worth working for isnt it ???
