I am single, nearing early retirement & would like to meet a gentleman with a sense of adventure to spend time with. I enjoy good company while taking long walks. I enjoy antiquing, garage sales, movies, live theatre and concerts. I would like to travel & visit places I have yet to see. I have always been very independent and could never trust others to make decisions for me. I feel I know me best. I must confess that my decisions did not always bring me success and my successes were not always driven by my ambitions, but rather by a “fear of failure” when as a single Mom I knew my kids depended upon on me. But all thats behind me now .... And this is the Good Part … I can finally relax and enjoy just being me. I don’t have to be stoic, I don’t have to prove “I can do it”, whatever “It” might have been at the time, I don’t have to make my mark, establish my career, care for my children (now grown), or make sure I am liked by everyone I meet. At this time in my life, it's just me and me and myself want to enjoy simple things, special things and all sorts of new things with someone special. So, if you are also ready to enjoy all life has to offer at this time in your life maybe we'll talk later.

And what qualities do I see in my Special Someone? He would be caring, considerate and selfish only on rare occasions (like me).
He would laugh easily, have a good sense of humor and would want to enjoy all of life (like I do). He would be my companion, my best friend and my confidant (as I would want to be his). He would be open to compromise and accept (as I do) that sometimes “you just have to agree to disagree”.
He would understand my need for independence and some alone time but would be there to rescue a damsel in distress if she should fall into the deep, dark abyss. He should like going out, staying in and would like to travel when time and resources permit. He would not mind sharing all the "good stuff” when we are spending time together, like cooking,dishes, laundry,grocery shopping,Christmas shopping (and wrapping), etc. He would be patient, honest, trustworthy and affectionate. He would be easy going and someone who enjoys spending quality time together. Gee..Could he be you? :)
