I'm a committed father, passionate outdoorsman and artist who earns a living as a Corrections Officer in a state medium security prison. Like so many of us, I've been bruised by past relationships, but definitely not broken. Still a big-hearted, young-at-heart guy, I'm on a quest to find someone to share home-cooked meals, intimate conversations, cozy weekends at the beach or in the mountains, and ultimately, a committed relationship. I'll even do the cooking! As you can probably tell from my photos, I am passionate about the outdoors. Hunting, especially duck hunting, is one of my main hobbies. And, while I'm not the kind of guy to spend hours lifting weights, I stay fit with long walks, hikes and hunting trips. I'd much prefer to walk along the ocean or around one of the many scenic lakes close to home, than walking on a treadmill going nowhere. My sensitivity to the beauty of my surroundings has lead to an artistic endeavor as well, making waterfowl decoys. I'm a somewhat shy, mild-mannered type who enjoys some quiet time on solo activities like restoring cars, or going deep-sea fishing, but I also delight in one-on-one conversation and weekend getaways. Some of my most enjoyable trips have been to the mountains during the autumn when the fall colors are at their peak and the weather has mellowed from the harsh, hot summer. I put the top down on my convertible and take in the explosion of color all around. When I stay in town, I enjoy nights out listening to music or trying some kind of new cuisine, especially when I have good company to enjoy it with! I have an adventurous palate and like most kinds of food, but must admit my own country style steak rivals what you'll find in many restaurants.
Ideally, I am looking for the date who will end all dating.. I want to fall in love and share a committed relationship with someone who is young at heart and comfortable at home like I am, who appreciates quiet time in the outdoors and long talks and walks together. Although I appreciate independence and shared hobbies, I would hope that you would at least be tolerant of my interests and that you would be open to spending a significant amount of time together, and comfortable sharing intimate conversation and spontaneous romantic moments.

I think the first date will be very low pressure, somewhere public and not so loud as to prevent a decent amount of conversation. Chemistry plays an important part in any budding relationships and a meeting at a park, quiet restaurant or sports bar or even a coffee house. The bottom line, it will be something agreeable and comfortable to both of us.
