Righto! First and foremost, I'm currently living and working in Melbourne,long story there. Anyway, I'll forge on.

I'll admit that joining this site was an idea floated to me by a friend of mine. Apparently now is as good a time as any, because according to him 'old cranky incontinent guys don't get women'. I'm not here to do that. I'm just here to make some new acquaintances before I head up west, so that my transition into the western suburbs won't be so alarming. What happens after that, only time will tell.

I have to confess that I find the concept of 'selling' myself an awkward sensation. It seems that regardless of how I describe myself it will be laced with some subjective bias or would be a carbon copy of the profiles above and below me. I have therefore decided to approach this in a different way, and note some points about me that aren't particularly flattering. They may even give some insight into the type of person I am.

* I once slept out for Star Wars tickets, only to wake up in the morning to discover I was the only person who did
* I'm proficient in dancing the following styles: the robot, the sprinkler, the shopping trolley, the garden hose and the hedge trimmer
* I have been heard three lanes over singing to Viva Las Vegas
* I can't sleep without the fan and The Twelfth Man on
* Icecream is my favourite breakfast food
* I have a morbid obsession with cher

Ok, well I'm sure I've embarrassed myself well and truly, so if any of this has piqued your interest it would be great to hear from you.

I realise this is the 'first date' section, but can I just say a big 'Thumbs Down!!' to whomever stole my umbrella!!! Apparently nothing is safe these days that isn't nailed down, and I'm more than shocked it was stolen from a retirement village!!!!!
